I agree with Class31 on this being off Marsden Grotto and Souter Point Lighthouse. I think the 'cooling towers' are actually Whitburn Colliery winding heads. According to this website http://www.merchantnavyofficers.com/lof1.html she was completed on this very day by the Furness Shipbuilding Co. on the Tees |
